This Privacy Policy applies to FairShare, a shared expense and money splitting app for mobile devices, hereby referred to as the "Application". The Application was created by Texts Dev, hereby referred to as the "Service Provider", as an ad supported service.
This service is intended for use "AS IS". By using the Application, you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy.
Information Collection and Use
The Application may collect information when you download and use it. This information may include your device's Internet Protocol address, the pages or screens of the Application that you visit, the time and date of your use, the time spent in the Application, and the operating system used on your mobile device.
The Application may collect information that you provide directly, such as your profile details, friend names or contacts, group details, expense titles, amounts, dates, notes, payer and participant selections, settlement status, and other content you enter while splitting money with FairShare.
The Service Provider may use this information to save your expense history, calculate who owes whom, show balances, sync or restore supported data, provide app features, improve reliability, communicate with you, provide support, and deliver important notices.
Location Data
The Application does not need precise location information to split expenses. If a future feature requests location access, it will only be used after you grant permission through your device settings.
Third-party Access
Only aggregated, anonymized data may be periodically transmitted to external services to help the Service Provider improve the Application and service. The Service Provider may share information with third parties as described in this policy.

The Service Provider may disclose user-provided and automatically collected information when required by law, when necessary to protect rights or safety, to trusted service providers who work on the Service Provider's behalf, or with your consent.
Data Retention and Deletion
The Service Provider will retain user-provided data, including expense and balance records, for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time afterward. Automatically collected information may be retained in aggregated form for analytics and service improvement.
You can remove expense, friend, or group information inside the Application where those controls are available. If you would like the Service Provider to delete user-provided data associated with the Application, contact textsmessaging@gmail.com. The Service Provider will respond in a reasonable time.
Children
The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If the Service Provider discovers that a child under 13 has provided personal information, that information will be deleted from the Service Provider's systems.
If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided personal information, contact the Service Provider so necessary action can be taken.
Security
The Service Provider values your trust in providing information and strives to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and the Service Provider cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Service Provider may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. Changes are effective when they are posted on this page.
