These terms and conditions apply to FairShare, a shared expense and money splitting app for mobile devices, hereby referred to as the "Application". The Application was created by Texts Dev, hereby referred to as the "Service Provider", as an ad supported service.
Upon downloading or utilizing the Application, you automatically agree to these terms. Please read and understand these terms before using the Application.
Ownership
Unauthorized copying or modification of the Application, any part of the Application, or the Service Provider's trademarks is strictly prohibited. Attempts to extract the source code, translate the Application into other languages, or create derivative versions are not permitted.
All trademarks, copyrights, database rights, and other intellectual property rights related to the Application remain the property of the Service Provider.
FairShare Service
FairShare helps users record shared expenses, assign payers and participants, track what each person owes, and mark balances or settlements. The Application is intended as an organizational tool and does not replace your responsibility to verify amounts with the people involved.
The Service Provider works to keep FairShare useful for tracking shared costs and balances. The Service Provider reserves the right to modify the Application, add or remove features, or charge for services at any time and for any reason.
Any charges for the Application or its services will be clearly communicated to you.
Device Security
The Application stores and processes data that you provide, including expense records, friend details, group information, and balance-related entries, in order to provide the Service. It is your responsibility to maintain the security of your phone and access to the Application.
The Service Provider strongly advises against jailbreaking or rooting your phone. Such actions could expose your phone to malware, viruses, and malicious programs, compromise your phone's security features, and may result in the Application not functioning correctly or at all.

Connectivity and Charges
Some functions of the Application require an active internet connection, which can be Wi-Fi or provided by your mobile network provider. The Service Provider cannot be held responsible if the Application does not function at full capacity due to lack of access to Wi-Fi or if you have exhausted your data allowance.
If you use the Application outside of a Wi-Fi area, your mobile network provider's agreement terms still apply. You may incur charges from your mobile provider for data usage, roaming data, or other third-party charges. By using the Application, you accept responsibility for any such charges. If you are not the bill payer for the device on which you are using the Application, it is assumed that you have obtained permission from the bill payer.
It is also your responsibility to ensure that your device remains charged. If your device runs out of battery and you are unable to access the Service, the Service Provider cannot be held responsible.
While the Service Provider strives to ensure that FairShare calculations are reliable, balances depend on the expense amounts, participants, payer details, and settlement information entered by users. The Service Provider accepts no liability for any direct or indirect loss, disagreement, missed payment, incorrect split, or settlement issue that you experience as a result of relying entirely on this functionality of the Application.
Updates and Termination
The Service Provider may update the Application at some point. The Application is currently available according to operating system requirements, and those requirements may change. You may need to download updates to continue using the Application.
The Service Provider does not guarantee that the Application will always be updated so that it remains relevant to you or compatible with the operating system version installed on your device. You agree to accept updates to the Application when offered.
The Service Provider may also cease providing the Application and may terminate its use at any time without providing termination notice to you. Unless the Service Provider informs you otherwise, upon termination the rights and licenses granted to you in these terms will end, and you must cease using the Application and, if necessary, delete it from your device.
Changes to These Terms and Conditions
The Service Provider may periodically update these Terms and Conditions. You are advised to review this page regularly for any changes. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms and Conditions on this page.
