Overview
This Privacy Policy applies to Stack, a personal finance tracker for mobile devices, hereby referred to as the "Application". The Application was created by Texts Dev, hereby referred to as the "Service Provider", as a freemium service.
The Application is intended for use "AS IS". By using the Application, you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy.
Information Collection and Use
The Application may collect information you provide directly, including wallet names, wallet types, balances, currency preferences, transaction amounts, transaction categories, dates, notes, budget settings, spending statistics, profile details, receipt image or PDF attachments, and import or export files that you choose to use with the Application.
The Application may also collect technical information when you download or use it, such as your device type, operating system, app version, IP address, screens visited, time and date of use, time spent in the Application, and diagnostic information needed to operate, secure, and improve the Application.
The Service Provider uses this information to provide wallet tracking, transaction history, budget monitoring, spending insights, Premium features, optional receipt attachment features, account-related features, support, reliability improvements, and important notices.
Local Storage and Optional Sync
Stack is designed so your finance data starts on your device. Financial records are stored locally using encrypted storage where supported by the Application, and local finance data is excluded from Android backup and device transfer.
Firebase sign-in is optional. If you choose to sign in or enable sync, selected app data may be stored in Firebase services such as Cloud Firestore to provide account access and multi-device continuity. If you do not enable account sync, your finance records remain local to your device except where you explicitly export, share, or back them up.
Profile tools may allow JSON export and import. You are responsible for storing exported files securely and for choosing where those files are saved or shared outside the Application.
Location Data
The Application does not require precise real-time location information to track wallets, transactions, budgets, or spending statistics.
Third-party Services
The Application uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you. These services operate under their own privacy policies:
The Service Provider may disclose user-provided and automatically collected information when required by law, when necessary to protect rights or safety, to trusted service providers who work on the Service Provider's behalf, or with your consent.
Data Retention and Deletion
The Service Provider retains user-provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time afterward. Data stored only on your device can be removed by deleting records in the Application, clearing app data, or uninstalling the Application.
If you enabled optional account sync and would like the Service Provider to delete user-provided data associated with the Application, contact textsmessaging@gmail.com. The Service Provider will respond in a reasonable time. Some data may be retained where required by law, needed for security, or necessary to complete legitimate business records.
Children
The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If the Service Provider discovers that a child under 13 has provided personal information, that information will be deleted from the Service Provider's systems.
If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided personal information, contact the Service Provider so necessary action can be taken.
Security
The Service Provider values your trust and uses reasonable safeguards to protect information processed and maintained by the Application. No method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, and the Service Provider cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
The Service Provider may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for changes. Changes are effective when posted on this page.
